Cyst in my leg. What do i do?

I have a cyst on the right side of my leg near the calf muscle. It had been there at least four years before becoming infected. It once became infected and i treated it with ointment and hot wraps, which caused it to go away. Well now its back and hurts worse than ever. I'm still doing the treatments but it doesn't seem like last time. It's trying to come out of my skin and its very painful and bleeds. Last time it came out of the skin but didn't bleed. I've done research and apparently there is a bone spur at the core of the cyst and if you don't get it removed it keeps coming back and causing trouble. I really don't want to have to have surgery. Does anyone have any advice or alternatives or any ideas as to what is wrong with me?

I would stop trying to avoid the inevitable. Why deal with the pain when surgery will get rid of it and any chances of it being cancerous? Why would you even risk not having surgery? Medicine will only help for so long. Do you really want to risk this cyst growing even larger? GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!
