I went to the ER a few months ago b/c I was bleeding %26amp; pregnant- suspected miscarriage/ectopic pregnancy. Anyway, at the ER they did a transvaginal ultrasound to see what was going on and happened to find a 21mm cyst on my right ovary (which made total sense b/c I had been having a stabbing pain in my right ovary and had suspected an ectopic pregnancy. I was pregnant, not ectopic but blighted ovum, which I ended up miscarrying that weekend.) The u/s tech spent a lot of time looking at it. When they were getting ready to discharge me they talked to me about the blighted ovum and then mentioned VERY briefly that I had a cyst but didn't seem worried about it in the least. In my sadness about the m/c I didn't ask more. The stabbing pain went away. A few days later I went to the OBGyn for a followup on my miscarriage, and they did another transvaginal u/s. The tech didn't say anything except that I had definitely miscarried. I called recently and the nurse said there is no info about a cyst
Ovarian cyst???
I knew a young girl that would gt them %26amp; they would be painful %26amp; eventually they would burst. she had to go home frm work sometims it hurt so badly. But yes,you can get them over again.
Your dr. should've advised you about this. Do you have a gyn? it'd really help to have a good reputable gyn.
%26amp; i had a miscariage before i had my daughter,,i was 3 months but the baby had died at 2. i didn't know it. I felt so badly! then i got pg really quickly.

You can get them over and over again. My doctor just told me to take Tylenol and go home. I can feel them from time to time. But unless they are real bad they won't do anything.
And sorry for your loss. I have had two miscarries-one was twins(that would have been fun) But they left at three months so no one cares. So I just made another-I really wanted a baby. It eased the pain.
Reply:Get tested for Polycystic Ovary disease. That is what this sounds like. If they wont give you a test , then get another OBGYN. I have the same problem where you get cysts on the ovaries and this can prevent you from having babies, get yourself tested. I had a baby even though, I have it.

Ovarian cyst (answers from only women with experience with ovarian cyst)?
I have a ovarian cysts on both ovarys and it is so painful i had the same pain from my miscarriage its non stop.had problems since my miscarriage could my cyst be from the miscarriage?
Ovarian cyst (answers from only women with experience with ovarian cyst)?
In actuality, an ovarian cyst is considered a normal part of the menstural cycle; I didn't know this until I experienced my first one. I don't think your miscarriage created these - I am sorry for your loss.
Cysts are painful, but the pain usually catches you off guard, is sharp in nature, the quieten downs to a dull ache. If you are having severe pain, you need to go see your GYN. Sometimes cysts have to be removed when they do not dissolve on their own. I was shocked to learn when I had my hysterectomy back in April that there was a cyst the size of a golf ball on my right ovary; it was there and I never knew it.
Take some ibuprofen and place a towel-wrapped heating pad on your stomach for comfort.
Good luck and i hope you feel better soon.
Reply:I had a softball size cyst removed from my ovary a year ago, and I miscarried. When I miscarried that's when they seen it, but I was only pregnant barely 2 months. The cyst was already there. I know the pain your feeling, I couldn't imagine having 2 of those suckers! Are they inoperable? Cyst's are caused from a high level of hormones, generally there genetic. If they want to operate let them, and ask if you could have laparoscopic surgery. I had that done, and they made 3 small cuts, barely noticeable. I wish you luck, and ask your doctor if he can remove them if that's possible. Best wishes, and I'm sorry for your loss.
Reply:I have no idea whether it could be related to your miscarriage, I would think no - but I'm not a Dr.
I do feel for you - I had severe ovarian cysts for years. It was extremely painful. Mine hurt off and on all the time - no relation to my menstrual cycle. Somethimes the pain would last for days. My Dr. gave me Rx pain killers, which helped some. But I did eventually have to have surgery. The first two surgeries they made 3 one inch incisions and removed the cysts. The surgery was very easy and I went home the same day. I had some pain for a couple days, but nothing like the cysts. But unfortunately both times the cysts grew back. My third surgery my Gynocologist decided to just insert a large needle (I was out cold - didn't feel it) and drain the fluid out of the cysts. The membrane collapsed on itself and formed scar tissue, which prevented cysts from growing back. I never had pain after that. The only problem with the scar tissue now is that my right ovary gets a sharp pain when I ovulate - it only lasts about 10 seconds. And it ended up being a good thing - it helped me conceive both of my children on my first try.

Ovarian Cyst?
About a month ago i went to the hospital because i was complaining of pressure pain in my pelvic area (i.e. the uterus, lower stomach) and they did a CT scan and noticed clear pelvic fluid and decided it was from a cyst that had ruptured. I then went to my gyno on wednesday and he did my pelvic exam and noticed I had blood at the top of my uterus and I actually started my period 3 hours later but he wanted to do an ultrasound on me a week after i started my period to see my ovaries when they r most enlarged to see if im prone to cysts. The period I had was so bad like I had really bad cramping and the period ended today im pretty sure and I still feel like bloated out like pressure is just sitting there in my pelvic area/lower abdomen. i also feel like im having cramping around that area almost like menstrual cramping. Could this mean I may have another cyst?
Ovarian Cyst?
It could but it doesn't necessarily mean this. Thank god your already in the process of having it all checked because if you do have one and they catch it now it can be removed and treated without any problems at all.
Make sure you have your other ultrasound done and best of luck to you. This kind of women's business is always a little scary but at least you've caught on to it quickly enough.
Best of luck to you.

Ovarian Cyst...still be pregnant?
My husband and I have been TTC #1 for the past 6 months. I just found out that I have a large cyst on my left ovary (5.5 cm). I had an abnormal period Oct 31 which is what made me even go to the doctor for a check-up. She says that I may still be pregnant despite the pregnancy tests being negative. She didn't do a blood test however, only the urine tests. Is it possible that I could still be pregnant? Or is my doctor just giving me false hope? Also, if I am, will this cyst be a problem? could it be the reason why the tests are showing negative? I've never had cysts before, so this really worries me. I appreciate any help.
Ovarian Cyst...still be pregnant?
Well, I have had cysts for years now with out much concern. Most of them disolve on their own, unless (which i never had to worry about) . . sometime they say if you are sexually active (which obviously you are) they can burst. A bursting cyst can be very painful, and yeah sometimes dangerous, but not usually. If you are pregnant, the doctor will fill you in more of if they will treat you or do anything about the cyst. otherwise, don't worry, relax, and don't stress . . sometimes that makes it worse.
Reply:expect the worst
hope for the best.
call me naive but it couldn't be a tubal pregnancy could it?
Reply:i would go to another doctor. doctors are supposed to ease your mind not make things worse. i would definitely call around to see if there is another doctor who will help you.
good luck.

Vaginal Cyst?
My girlfriend has had problems with vaginal cysts before and they caused her a ton of pain and she had multiple injections to get rid of them. I was not sexually active with her when this had happened. We are now sexually active, however. While using my hand I can feel this relatively hard rounded "object" inside of her. I would say it 2-3 inches deep and about the size of a small nut. It doesn't seem to cause any reaction when I touch it or anything like that. Im afraid to tell her or mention it to her and her take it the wrong way and feel self conscious about herself and shut off all sexual contact. Is it possible that this is just a cyst and nothing to worry about? I have a very small cyst behind my ear and it feels very similar to what I am feeling inside her. Any help would be grea!
Vaginal Cyst?
Yes, it could be just a cyst but because she has had problems with cysts in the vagina before I would recommend that she get in touch with her dr to have this evaluated just to make sure.
Reply:Hmm.. Sounds like a cervix to me.. If it is a cyst I would mention it to her.
Reply:see a dr ..be sure it is not cancer

Pregnancy or a cyst?
Ok, so i am 21 years old and have 2 kids under 2. My youngest is 5 months old. Since I had her, I went to the doctors and they discovered I had a golf ball sized cyst on my left overy. That is the first cyst i ever had. Well, it ruptured, no problem. Since my daughter had been born, I have had sex twice - unprotected. I was suppose to get my period Jan. 12th, but missed it. I am having serious sharp %26amp; crampy pains in that area and they feel like the same pains i had when i was pregnant. I took a pregnancy test on Jan 23 and it came up negative. What are the symptoms of cyst and what are the chances between it being a cyst and me being pregnant???
Pregnancy or a cyst?
i had a ruptured cyct and it just causes your period to be a little off.
Reply:it more then likely then cyst but u could also be pregnant mayb u took the test too soon either way go to the dr for the pain and go from there also go to the dr to see if ur pregnant again
Reply:U really should slow down your only 21 and already have 2 children. You should start protecting yourself.

MY DOCTOR TOLD ME IF I HAD ANY SHARP PAIN TO GO TO THEM RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE IT COULD OF TWISTED AND THAT IS BAD! I SUGGEST GOING TO THE DOCS. GOOD LUCK HUN

Ovarian cyst?
At the end of April I had a vaginal ultrasound done and they found a 6.5 cm cyst. Half solid, half liquid. That is what they explained to me and then i had a ct scan that following week and they said that there was nothing there and nothing to worry about. so they were checking for other reasons as to why my periods have been weird. this is kinda embaressing but last week i was having sex and all of a sudden i had really sharp pains in my lower right abdomen by the ovary that they orignally found the cyst. I mean, these pains were sooo uncomfortable that I couldnt move at all. and it hurt soo bad to move or breath. Im wondering if that cyst is still there. Ive never had any pains like that before in my life. and then the other day i was having them while i was working. it wasnt nearly as painful but it made it uncomfortable to walk. please let me know what you think it is or what i should do. I really would appreciate it! Thanks!
Ovarian cyst?
The cyst could cause the pain with sex as well as at other times. I have them constantly and all you can do is use heating pads and either pain pills or an antiinflamatory like aleve. I've never had to have one removed but some people do. Usually I know they are gone because I feel sick and my stomach gets upset. I also have endometriosis and that causes very painful sex at times. Are you haveing any other symptoms?
