Cyst removal?

Hi, I had a cyst on my upper forehead and one night I finally just squeezed out the fatty junk inside myself. you really can't notice that the cyst is there anymore but there is a hole where I squeezed the substance out from, a little bigger then an enlarged pore. I know most people would just let it be but the idea of having a "sac" under my forehead disgust me, especially with the hole and everything. Is there any chance a dermatologist can still remove the sac by lancing the cyst or does the flat surface (since it never filled back in) disable the doctor from getting a grip on the sac wall?

Cyst removal?
Why are you asking this on the Womens Health section?
Reply:It has probably healed and there is nothing there to remove anymore. The only thing you can do now is have a doctor inject some collagen or other substance in the hole which will fill it back out, if the hole bothers you. These treatments usually last for 6-12 months and then need repeating.
Reply:What you are describing is probably a sebaceous gland cyst. I have seen them get as big as a marble. If the enlarged pore gets clogged again...it will begin to fill as before. What you suspected is true...it is much easier to remove just the sac when it is enlarged rather than collasped. Being on the face makes it more complicated and harder to do (mainly because you want to handle it so there is minimal scar). If it wasn't on your face but your back...a trick using a silver nitrate stick can chemically burn the sac from the inside to avoid a simple surgery to remove it. I think you might have to see a dermatologist. Ususally there is a tendency to develop more (Acne Vulgaris). By seeing a dermatologist ...it would not be a wasted trip...you could have a game plan for any future problem and have a idea of how to avoid getting others. Sometimes you can get a superimposed bacterial infection associated with them and need an antibiotic. There might be some new very clever ways of managing this....aim for a dermatologist that is about 50 ...they have all the fancy equipment and experience to get the best result ...usually.
