I usually get my period lasting more than a week, but it does eventually stop. Recently, I've been worried if something was wrong. So i looked up some questions on Y!A and I almost started crying because I saw that it has happened to others and it was a cyst. I am thirteen and I am in my second year of my period. It has always lasted more than a week and comes back frequently. Does anyone know if it is definitely a cyst? I am very scared to ask my grandma about it to take me to a doctor. And if it is a cyst what do they do?

Well, if you're in your first year or two in your period, I don't believe it's a big thing.
When I first got my period, it lasted 7 or 8 days. Since it's been a while, I've gone down to 5 or 6.
A cyst is a closed sac having a distinct membrane and division on the nearby tissue. They may contain air, fluids, or semi-solid material.Once formed, the cyst will remain in the tissue permanently unless removed by surgery or by taking medication that will dissolve it.
Reply:you need to let an adult know what's going on so that they can help you. hiding the fact can make matters worse.
Reply:Go to a doctor , there are more things that can be happening that is as easy as taking pills but you will never know if you dont check on it.
