Cyst with symptoms and pain?

so all my pg symptoms were related to an ovarian cyst in my right ovary. i have been having pain and problems for the last two weeks, right now im cramping so bad, still feel like im gonna start my period, but then i get these very sharp knife like stabbing pains on my right side, and it hurts to try to go number two. the stabbing pains have been bad and the dull, so im not sure if its ovualtion, i should be ovulating tommorow. so is this from the cyst or ovulation? i had a 3 day spotting session for my period. do i need to worry about the pain im feeling? i found this out with an ultrasound, and have an apt with my gyne on monday for a visit, she doesnt know yet about the cyst and the ultra sound.

Cyst with symptoms and pain?
First of all, you will not ovulate form that ovary because of the cyst. Part of your pain is because your body knows it's time to ovulate and it can't.

For the bathroom issue, your ovaries are very close to your colon. Since your ovary is swollen and abnormal, everything that goes through your bowel is pressing up against your ovary causing the pains that you discribed. You need to take 1-2 stool softeners a day until your appointment. That way if you have to go, you won't have to tighten your muscles so much.

Your body is pretty much assuming that you are pregnant because you are not ovulating, that's why your period was so light. Your doc will probably end up putting you on birth control to dissolve the cyst (if it's not too big)

Take the stool softeners and try a hot bath or heating pad for your stomach. You could also try some ib profen for the pain.

If the pain gets too intense. i.e. you can't move, get to the er asap. It's better to be safe than to cause yourself more agony.

Isn't it wonderful to be a woman?! Good luck...
Reply:I've seen women rushed into the emergency room because their ovarian cyst ruptured. Often they ended up losing both the ovary and tube on that side. They also needed to be treated with antibiotics because pus entered the abdominal cavity when the cyst broke. Get yourself over to your local emergency room!!!
Reply:The pain is from the cyst it is normal to fell that with those but they do need tobe monitered because they can rupture this happened to me and I was in the hospital for five days it was awful. I did not require surgery but it was still very trying, please go see you gyno and let her know about the pain. do it soon.
