Not a cyst-cyst? What does it mean?

I had a scan of my ovaries and the nurse who did the scan found something wrong with one of them, but is not allowed to give a diagnosis, so I have to wait for an appointment with the doctor. When I asked her if it looked like a cyst, she said: "No, it is not really a cyst-cyst." What might it be? I hate waiting for appointments.

Not a cyst-cyst? What does it mean?
A Nurse or Tech is not allowed to share information with a patient. But is sounds like it might "look" like a cyst, but is not an obvious cyst.

Some times it takes a biopsy to identify exactly what it going on.

Been there, done that, way toooo many times.

Be patient. A cyst can be blood filled, my DR. called mine chocolate cysts (from the color of old blood) and fluid filled cysts. Mine were related to Endometriosis.

My daughter had one burst in July or August and spent 18 hours in the emergency room and $12,000.00 only to learn that a cyst had burst and released fluid into her abdominal cavity. She has been perfectly fine every since.

Google "Ovarian cysts" you can get all of the information you need. Generally the worry is far worse than the condition.

Try taking Ibuprofen per bottle suggestions for a couple of weeks. It will improve the inflammation and might reduce it.

Good Luck and don't worry too much.
Reply:She had a stutter, its means nothing. You'll have to wait for the appointment;
Reply:relax. if u re before your period it can be yellow body in your ovaries or tubes. it will dissolve after u have period or get pregnant. it occurs every month. so they re supposed to check everything, so doctor will probably give u another appointment for ultrasound check after a week or 2. but of course it also can be out of womb pregnancy - it can occure everywhere - in tubes or ovaries. but it causes some bleeding and pain. if u have no pain and bleeding relax once more
Reply:she should have said nothing by hinting she has bee unprofesional and got you worried when you need not be
Reply:I had a scan a while back and it showed a cyst as big as a penny and my urologist said we leave cysts alone.And i have had no problems.So don't worry all will be well .
Reply:Looks as thought you may have a Dermiod cyst, Dermoid cysts are benign tumors that contain nails, teeth, bone, hair, cartilage, and/or other tissues, and can be filled with a fatty substance. They vary in size and location, generally appearing on an ovary, i have had a dermiod cyst on my right ovary for 5 years, it has never changed its about 2.5cm, because this cyst causes no problems the doctors leave it, good luck at your appointment let me know how u get on xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
