Complex cyst please help?

i know this is the r%26amp;s section


but noone is answering in womens health tonight


and r%26amp;s is the busiest section on this site





i am hoping a compassionate person will just please tell me if you know what a complex cyst is?


in the er they told me i had a cyst and discharged me saying i need it removed,i didnt find out until i read my discharge papers that it was ''complex''


im terrified any info you can tell me please?


i heard complex cysts usually mean its cancerous???

u should go to ur doc asap, and doNT be scared, be strong, i read some this links and most people said that if u get it removed as soon as possible it will most likely not become so serious

ps: just my personal opinion but i dont think jesus has cured anyone in the past 2000 yrs, so id check with a doctor whos a little more up to date on the whole medice stuff





the first link takes u to a website that does research on ovarian cysts, and it says that its common so DONT BE SCARED good look and i hope everything turns out alright :)

Reply:complex ovarian cysts are usually not cancerous but they are more concerning than regular cysts. But it's best to be cautious.


complex breast cysts have a very low risk of malignancy


I find the same for kidney etc..

Call your doctor and make an appt. Don't assume anything. Get some actual tests done. Try not to worry (of course you will), but get to the doctor and get it taken care of.
Reply:Where was this cyst was it in your kidney?Look on your computor for complex cyst. Cyst of the breast usualy aren`t cancer, but mine was so go to your doctor and go from there.You were told to have it removed so the best place to go is your doctor and they can tell you what kind of cyst ,what the treatment should be.Never take a chance with your health.

Reply:Complex might mean there are a couple of things tied into this cyst that might baffle the doctors a little bit as to what to do. I don't want to scare you, but it could mean that it's cancerous, or connected to a nerve or something in which will need complex surgery, etc. Something that might take extra precaution and experience to take care of. But these are all coulds. Doesn't mean that it is.





What you should do, is not rely on internet research for an answer. Consult a doctor instead. Have him/her run the tests and see what his/her decision is on how to take care of it. Also, consult more than one doctor, to see if they say the same thing.





EDIT: And then do some research. ;P It's best to find out everything you can about the situation that you have. Also, again, don't be scared. A friend of mine was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and it was easily removed with hysterectomy. And she had a cyst as well, but it was benign, which meant it wasn't cancerous. And they removed that as well also. So please don't be scared, and consult a doctor as soon as you can to take care of it as early as possible.

Your doctor may recommend blood work, a CT or MRI scan to get a better look at the cyst, or even surgery to remove the cyst. They are common, and treatable.
Reply:Complex means having multiple chambers, as opposed to a simple cyst which is one chamber. Complex cysts have different characteristics in different sites. In some, they have an increased risk of cancer. Many complex cysts are benign.





Here's a little reading, so you know what to ask when you see your doctor.

These are known to cause these to grow and produce more rapidly.

all they're trying to say Is you have endometriosis. They are like a cluster of grapes and without treatment they can become Involved with other parts of your Internal anatomy.
