Removal of ovarian cyst by Laproscopic surgery?

I have para ovarian cyst since 2 yrs after delivering my little boy. The cyst has been in the size of 5.4 and has never faded.

Now, doctor wants it to be removed, am going to have it removed by laproscopy method. My question is , whether it is really necessary for me to remove the cyst(bcas it is a non-cancerourous cyst with clear fluids and i have no symptoms of pain so far).

Next question, what are the sideeffects of lapro-surgery?

Removal of ovarian cyst by Laproscopic surgery?
Hello ... I'm a surgical nurse, so I thought maybe I could shed some light on your question.

The cyst could cause problems in the future, like pain, infertility, etc ... so best to get it removed now while you're healthy and nothing's going on with it.

Laparoscopic surgery is great ... but still carries all the side-effects (and possible dangers) of having anesthesia. The thing most people complain about is the way the carbon dioxide (that's the "air" they use to fill the abdominal cavity) tends to "rise" after surgery, and causes pain around the shoulders. Normally the surgeon tries to release as much of it as possible, which is good. The pain only lasts a couple days, though, as the gas is absorbed naturally.

Ok? Any more questions, just ask. Good luck.
Reply:yes you have to remove it...

2. lapro-surgery is like real surgery

instead of making one big hole in you

they make lots of small ones

then they fill your tummy with air

then they take the cyst out

the holes are soooooooooo small

that they need one stitch only each

in 2 months there's nothing there to remind you that you had something done

i recently had an lapro-surgery

that's how i know

hope you find this helpful
Reply:I wanted to let you know there are all natural alternatives to treating PCOS. I don't want to advocate for one or the other, but I think it's good to know all of your options before making a decision. Dr. Randine Lewis offers an all natural regimen of dietary and nutritional guidance, exercises and acupuncture to improve blood flow to the ovaries, and herbal remedies to regulate the hormones and naturally induce a healthy ovulation. You can take a look at her website for more info. www.thefertilesoul.com.

Good luck!
