I have a cyst underneath my chin. It's not an acne cyst, its way under my skin, like a sebaceous cyst.?

Since I have noticed the cyst, my chin has been breaking out terribly. Is this from the cyst? And how can I get it removed? I have a dermtologist appointment tomorrow.

the cyst may be in your jawbone


or your salivaglands


or some infant tissue

Reply:That is best answered by your doctor. Something like that though, (similar to a wart or mole), would most likely be removed right there in the doctors office and yes the area would of course be numbed.

Reply:Since you have noticed the cyst you have probably (conciously or not) been touching that area more on your chin. The touching and spreading of facial oils, plus the stress of worrying about the cyst are what is making you break out. Cysts are very easily removed they can be done in seconds right in the doctors office most of the time.
Reply:I had a cyst removed from my chin some years ago and it was very simple and quick, a couple of minutes' work under local anaesthetic, leaving the tiniest of tiny scars that no-one ever notices. Nothing to worry about!
Reply:Your breaking out is probably from the cyst because it's very oily you probably can get it removed, but I think the only way they could take it out is by surgery, but I had a lipoma taken out and they didnt put me under they just numbed my skin cut my skin open and then stitched it back it hurt a little but it wasnt anything major and it didnt cost a lot.
