Ovarian Cyst...?

My friend is 28, she has had ovarian cysts since her early 20's.

She is married with no children... yet. She has multiple, persistent cysts on both her ovaries. They never shrink or go away even with pills. She has frequent, like every 2wks, periods and severe cramping. Surgery is not an option. She does want children oneday.

What the best options for treating these cyst and retain her fertility? Any natural cures available. Please any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Birth control not an option anymore, tried and didn't work

Her doctor isn't very helpful or supportive, only prescribes meds for pain.

Ovarian Cyst...?
First things first - FIND A NEW DOCTOR and preferably an OB/GYN and not a general practitioner. This is the single most important thing she can do for herself. Also - have her get a complete copy of her medical records that includes all labs and diagnostic testing she has had completed. This will give her new provider a great history.

If she is overweight - weight loss is a must - unfortunately weight issues and being under weight as well can cause irregular periods as well.

Regular expercise and a healthy high fiber low fat diet is useful.

The previous two are helpful to get the body in balance.

Please dont get into any herbal remedies just yet ---give a new physician a chance to diagnose and treat her prior to having taken any over the counter remedies. (and for the record there aren't any) It is important to note that herbal meds are NOT regulated by the FDA and we have no idea of knowing what safe doses of any herb is...properly UNBIASED and controlled laboratory studies have not been done.
